Vitolo is being eyed up by both Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
According to a report in the ‘Mirror’, Antonio is a big fan of Vitolo’s and would like to make him part of his squad at Chelsea.
Not long back, Atletico Madrid were said to be about to make a move for the Sevilla star, though their FIFA-imposed sanctions have made that difficult. The club are understood to be exploring a way of signing the player without breaking the sanctions.
With the World Cup on the horizon Vitolo wants regular football. The idea of Atletico was to sign the player and then loan him to Las Palmas, however given that Atletico would not be able to register the player until January (due to the sanctions), there would be no way of loaning him out.
The only thing that is certain at the moment is that Vitolo is a Sevilla player and the Andalusians are said to be demanding that any interested party pay his release clause in full.
It appears that Chelsea may be willing to do so, al least according to the British press.
When we consider this and the situation surrounding Diego Costa, is Antonio Conte about to become Atletico’s nemesis?
