Nolito ends Man City nightmare as he closes in on Sevilla move

Nolito joined Manchester City las summer for £13.8m, but is set to return to Spain after falling out of favour with Pep Guardiola.

The Citizens beat Barcelona to the punch last summer, bringing in Nolito after the Spain international’s phenomenal season for Celta Vigo did not go unnoticed.

Fast-forward one year and the striker has grown unsettled in England. City have also been eager to let the Spaniard go, but rejected many loan requests as they expected to make money out of the move.

Sevilla made their first try for the player in May, and their last bid of £8 million has finally been accepted.

Ther 30-year-old will travel to Sevilla on Sunday to complete his medical and sign a three-year deal, as the Spanish side have been quick to find a replacement for Atletico-bound Vitolo.
