Chelsea’s Mikel Obi and Victor Moses hit Nigeria for Algeria clash

The Super Eagles’ skipper and more foreign based professionals are in town for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against the Greens

Nigeria camp swelled on Tuesday morning with the arrival of John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses for Saturday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria billed for Uyo.

Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa were the early birds as they arrived on Monday afternoon.

Aside the Chelsea duo, John Ogu, William Troost-Ekong, Musa Muhammed, Odion Ighalo, Brown Ideye, Wilfred Ndidi, Kenneth Omeruo and Leon Balogun are also in town for the crunch tie against the north African team.

More players are expected to team up with Gernot Rohr’s men before Wednesday night.

The Super Eagles lead Group B with three points, and a victory against the visitors will put them in good stead to qualify for the 2018 Fifa World Cup Russia.

Cameroon, who forced Algeria to a 1-1 draw in their first game hosts Zambia in their own game.
