Conor McGregor says potential fight with Floyd Mayweather will pocket him £100m

CONOR McGregor has predicted that his possible fight with Floyd Mayweather could see him pocket a staggering £100million.

McGregor, who continues to keep everyone waiting over an announcement about a potential match-up with Mayweather, suggested he’d be happy to fight Manny Pacquiao should a showdown with the American boxer fail to materialise.

The Irish UFC star also took Instagram to tell his followers not to doubt him as he showed off his new glasses with a selfie.

‘I don’t need glasses I just like how they look on my face even tho they tilt on me cos of my banged up nose and ears I still feel like I look good. Happy Thursday everyone how’s that £75million make your stomach feel?’ he wrote.

‘It’s actually £100+million if we go by the non conservative numbers the fight will actually do and that’s not including my endorsements and business ventures. 28 years of age. Fresh c***. Doubt me now.’

McGregor followed up that post with a video where he shadow-boxed, and he hinted he could fight Pacquiao.

He wrote: ‘Here is a reply video I sent one of my proteges who was seeking advice on some boxing only pad work footage they sent me. I believe you will like it. The focus has been solely boxing lately but make no mistakes, the kicking and grappling aspects, and everything else got to do with unlimited free fighting, is still very much present in my thoughts.

‘Floyd may crap his jocks after all and if so I will go back to true fighting or just pick another boxer like Manny [Pacquiao] or something. But whatever that’s another conversation.

‘I like to build fighters and watch their progression. I have built many to this date, and all unintentionally. One is fighting in the UFC main event this weekend.

‘When my son is born I will build him up into a multiple free fighting world champion also. Just like his old man. I look forward to it.’

The posts on the social media website came just days after he uploaded another picture of himself in his car with the caption ‘buckle up’.

He also announced that ‘McGregorFast’ had gone live on Sunday, telling fans to ‘join me in the preparation of my next fight being announced very soon!’

That announcement looks set to be a boxing match with Mayweather in what has been branded the most high-profile fight of all-time.

The pair have been going back and forth for the best part of a year and all signs now point to the super-fight going ahead.

McGregor has never competed professionally inside the boxing ring but has remained bullish about his chances of knocking out the man many consider to be the greatest of all time.
