‘Cristiano Ronaldo is the best I’ve played with and Neymar is the hardest to defend against’

Having played alongside some big names throughout his career, Real Madrid left-back Marcelo took advantage of his contract extension at the club to reflect upon the privilege of coinciding with some era-defining players.

‘I have played with Ronaldo Nazario, Ronaldinho, Van Nistelrooy… but Cristiano Ronaldo is the most complete of the lot’, Real Madrid’s second captain revealed.

The Brazilian also heaped praise on his national teammate and former rival at Barcelona: ‘Neymar is one of the most difficult players I have played against. Without a doubt, he is the hardest to stop’.
