Atalanta are back in continental competition for the first time in 26 years.
Atalanta manager Gian Pier Gasperini has warned Everton that his side are ready and raring to go as they kick off their European campaign.
‘La Dea’ play their first European match since the 1990-91 season, having finished a surprising fourth place in last season’s Serie A standings.
Gasperini warned the ‘Toffees’, as well as group rivals Lyon and Apollon Limassol of Cyprus, that the side were ready to put opponents to the sword.
“We are confident,” he said. “We might not bring a name but we had an excellent season last year and we carry a lot of enthusiasm.
“Everton are strong in many aspects and we know it is a tough group. But I think my team is ready to play in this group.”
