The Ajilete Warriors have picked holes in the ruling of the football house’s disciplinary committee and have vowed to take it to the appeals committee
Crown FC have expressed their displeasure with the verdict of the Nigeria Football Federation’s disciplinary committee which awarded their disputed Federation Cup semi final tie to FC IfeanyiUbah.
The Ajilete Warriors were trailing 1-2 when they scored a supposed good goal in the 87th minute which was disallowed by referee Audu Ibrahim leading to protest by fans and players as the game was botched.
However, the NFF’s in a sitting in Abuja on Monday ruled that the Ogbomosho side erred by abandoning the match and that the result of the tie before the disruption stood.
And the Ogbomoso based outfit have vowed not to give up in their quest to ensure a better ruling.
“Crown FC will not relent until the burning flame flares up to become rainbow. If it takes only Crown FC to stand up to injustice, decay and unprofessional ism and favouritsm,” the club said in a statement.
“We shall do our part to stem the tide but we know that posterity would someday judge each person and personality accordingly. We are prepared to make an academic purpose and pursuit.
“We are not fighting because the judgment of the Disciplinary Committee did not favour us rather for perpetual assault on Nigerian football by a class of people who are bent at murdering Nigerian football
“We will explore all legal and reasonable mechanism within football reach to press home for justice and fairness because we have condemned the strong term the verdict that has given victory to FC IfeanyiUbah.”
