Dad dreamt I would beat Anthony Joshua —Ruiz

Anthony Joshua’s conqueror and the new unified heavyweight boxing champion Andy Ruiz says his father, Andres Ruiz. had dreamt that he knocked out the former champion before the match at Madison square Garden, New York early this month.

Ruiz told Tribunesports that his dad came to him before he travelled to New York city to reveal the dream and assured him that his dreams   always come to pass.

The American born Mexican professional boxer quoted his dad as saying “Ruiz, do you know that I dreamt that you knocked down your opponent and I saw you shedding tears of joy at the end of the encounter,” Ruiz told Tribunesport.

“I believed what my dad said because he had revealed dreams that had come to fulfilment into when we were young but I didn’t allow that to get to my head throughout the  bout  I was fully prepared to get the job done”, he added.

Ruiz, who admitted that Anthony Joshua scared him in the third round with one of his punches that knocked him down, said he quickly got up and attacked AJ with all his strength which paid off   in the end.

He said he wanted the rematch to hold in California or Mexico  City, adding that he would demand $50 million if Anthony Joshua is interested in taking the match to the Wembley Stadium or Old Trafford in the United Kingdom later this year.
