Danjuma named as Falconets coach

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Christopher Danjuma as head coach of the U20 women’s national team, the Falconets.

NFF also named the team’s first assistant coach as Wemimo Matthew;  second assistant coach as Mansur Abdullahi while Abdul-lateef Yusuf serves as Goalkeeper’s Trainer.

The technical crew are expected in Abuja on Wednesday next week to open camp for the screening of players ahead of next month’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying matches.

According to the fixtures released by the Confederation of African Football, two–time FIFA World Cup silver medallists, Nigeria will host

Tanzania on the weekend of 15-17 September, with the return leg in Dar es Salaam two weeks later.

The winner over both legs will confront the winner of the Morocco/Senegal qualifiers in November, before a final round of qualifying matches in January 2018.
