Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Aymeric Laporte will miss the Champions League game against Leipzig on Wednesday due to illness, according to manager Pep Guardiola.
The two players did not attend the open training session on Tuesday and did not travel with the team to Germany for the round-of-16 first-leg match.
Guardiola stated that both players reported feeling unwell after playing in Saturday’s Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.

Guardiola acknowledged that such illnesses are common during the season and indicated that De Bruyne felt unwell after the game against Nottingham. Laporte, on the other hand, did not feel well on Monday.
De Bruyne played for 88 minutes in the 1-1 draw with Forest, while Laporte completed the full match.
Guardiola also expressed uncertainty about the availability of both players for the Premier League match against Bournemouth on Saturday.
