Barcelona defender Lucas Digne is closing in on a reported £22million switch to English Premier League side Everton.
Everton boss Silva has put a new left-back at the top of his wanted list, and after walking away from a deal for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney, is now ready to move for Barca star Digne.
The Toffees will have to pay £22million to land the 25-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain star and it is hoped a deal be pushed through this week.

Everton also want Watford star Richarlison, who is due to have a medical this week, and although there is still work to be done on both deals, Silva is hopeful of getting them done.
‘There are two possibilities, I will not hide,’ he told Portuguese TV. ‘These are strong hypotheses.
“Richarlison is an excellent player and Digne is not by chance where [Barcelona] he is. Hopefully, it’s not easy.”
Digne made 46 appearances for Barca during his two season with the club, but the defender is keen to move on in search of regular first-team football and Everton will be able to offer him that.
