Enugu Rangers attacked in Jos after match with Plateau United

The team bus of Rangers International Football Club of Enugu was attacked by some suspected hoodlums on Sunday after both teams played out a goalless draw on the Match Day 11 of the 2024/2025 Nigerian Premier Football League in Jos.

Some coaches and players of the Flying Antelopes were injured during the attack, with viral videos and photos on social media showing some of them bleeding.

The General Manager of Rangers, Amobi Ezeaku, who confirmed the attack in a statement, called it unwarranted. He said the club is taking necessary actions to ensure that justice is served.

According to Ezeaku, Rangers have already submitted a petition to the relevant authorities and will not rest until the issue is thoroughly addressed and resolved.
