Enyimba FC defender, Ikouwem Udoh has said their experience on the African continent will count when the People’s Elephant trade tackles with South Africa’s Bidvests Wits in the second leg final qualifying round of this year’s CAF Confederations Cup.
Speaking to AOIFootball.com, Udoh posited that the two-time African champions will not falter and will ensure they secure maximum win to move to the group stage of the competition.
“I’m confident we have what it takes to defeat Bidvests in Calabar. We have the required experience and it will count on match day. We are leaving no stone unturned and we will ensure our passage to the group stage,” he said.
When asked if the South African club can upset Enyimba in Calabar, Udoh quickly dismissed the suggestion that the 7- time Nigerian champions will lose at home.
Enyimba hosts Bidvests Wits on Wednesday at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar. The first leg ended 1-1 in Johannesburg.
