EPL pre-season: 3 academy breakout stars to watch

This July presents another golden opportunity for emerging talents, and with many senior internationals still managing their workloads after a demanding 2026 FIFA World Cup, pre-season tours across the United States and Asia offer academy players extended opportunities to impress.

Among the names attracting the most attention are Chido Obi-Martin, Max Dowman, and Rio Ngumoha, three youngsters widely regarded as among English football’s brightest prospects.
