Everton look set to continue their summer spending with the capture of the talented forward.
The 20-year-old finished as the joint-top scorer in the Belgian top flight last season with 22 goals in 38 games, attracting the attention of scouts from across Europe. With Arsenal and West Ham rumoured to have also been interested.
Onyekuru is rumoured to have had a £6.8 million release clause in his Eupen contract which has been met by Everton.
According to the ‘Daily Mail’, Onyekuru will spend a season on loan at Anderlecht as part of the deal, with Everton feeling that Champions League experience will help the player develop even further.
The same source reports that the Nigerian had a medical and agreed terms at Everton’s training ground on Monday ahead of the deal being completed.
