After making his debut for Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Stephen Eze is looking forward to playing his first away game this weekend in the Bulgarian league.
Eze, a member of the home-based Super Eagles squad which won the silver at the just-ended 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco, came in as a 55th minute substitute against Pirin Blagoevgrad FC last weekend which ended in a 1-0 victory for his side.
The towering defender said he can’t wait for his first away game in the Bulgarian league tomorrow against Slavia Sofia.
“I’m glad to make my debut in front of our very special fans and proud that we bagged all the points at stake. I want to thank the coaches and my teammates for their encouragement and support and of course the fans for making my debut for the club a pleasant one.
“We are going for another cracker this weekend and I’m ready for the match. We are optimistic of returning with maxmimum points as well.
“I joined Lokomotiv to prove myself and win laurels with them at the end of the season which, I believe would be realised,” the former Kano Pillars defender told Tribunesport from his base.
