Ike Diogu, D'Tigers captain
Captain of Nigeria’s national senior men’s basketball team, Ike Diogu, has declared that D’Tigers are well-conditioned for their FIBA World Cup group B opener today against two-time World champions, Russia.
The 2019 FIBA World Cup is taking place in Wuhan, China and Nigeria will also face Korea and Argentina in the group.
Diogu told www.brila.net that coach Alex Nwora has done the necessary things to put the team in top shape for the opener, likewise the players themselves.

“We are starting against Russia, the coach has done all the scouting and now that we get to game time, we have our individual scouting reports and individual match ups. So, we know exactly what to do and not get too ahead of ourselves when we face Russia today (Saturday),” Diogu said.
