Former PSG manager Tuchel set to replace Lampard at Chelsea

Former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) boss, Thomas Tuchel is set to replace Frank Lampard as Chelsea manager.

Lampard is set to be sacked today after a poor run of form saw Chelsea slip to ninth in the Premier League table.

The former England international is midway through a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea’s recent slump has left club owner Roman Abramovich concerned that the side will slip out of the Champions League, which was considered a minimum requirement after a £225million spending spree last summer.

Chelsea’s decision to part with Lampard is clearly down to the club’s poor form but it has also been influenced by the availability of Tuchel.
