Hostilities will resume on Thursday at the Mo Arena, Abuja, venue of the ongoing 2026 Nigeria Basketball Premier League (NBPL) Savannah Conference, as Match Day 4 games between Aso Sky Hawks and Niger Potters and Gboko City Chiefs and Nile University take centre stage.

Wednesday was observed as a rest day according to the revised fixtures following the withdrawal of the Nigeria Customs from the tournament.

Aso Sky Hawks and Niger Potters will take to the court in the first game of the day. While the Hawks are coming into this game having won two of their last three games: 82-64 win against Niger Potters, 82-88 loss to Nile University and 67-53 win against Gboko City Chiefs, Niger Potters will be looking for the first win having suffered three straight defeats 64-82, 73-87 and 56-69 against Aso Sky Hawks, Gboko City Chiefs and Nile University in that order.

Niger Potters’ coach, Aminu Dada, however, has expressed optimism that his lads will give their best in today’s game, saying they will work on their lapses noticed in the games.

Speaking with Sporting Tribune, Aso Sky Hawks’ player, Odufuwa Kanyinsola, said his team will continue to build on their momentum to record more wins in the competition.

In the second game, high-flying Nile University, with two wins and a loss, will square up against equally high-flying Gboko City Chiefs, also with two wins and a loss, in what has been dubbed the match of the day.
