Michael Beale, Tom Culshaw and Jordan Milsom are to make up part of Steven Gerrard’s backroom staff at Rangers, according to the Liverpool Echo’s James Pearce.
The Anfield legend has been confirmed as Rangers’ manager for the next four years, speaking to the press for the first time afternoon and outlining his vision for the club.
He was coy on what his backroom staff would look like, but did confirm that Gary McAllister will be his assistant.
And now it looks certain that current Ibrox coaches Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson will depart as Gerrard gets set to bring three other Liverpool coaches with him.
According to Pearce, who has strong ties to Liverpool in his role at the Echo, Culshaw and Milsom will move after assisting Gerrard with the Anfield club’s Under 18s this term.
Beale, who is currently Head of Coaching for the Foundation Phase, is also set to move, taking the new management staff to five.
Nicholl only joined Graeme Murty’s coaching staff earlier this season while Johansson was added to Pedro Caixinha’s team in April 2017 so they’ll no doubt be disappointed if they are moved on so soon.
