Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, has described the past few days as the worst in his life following the cheeky goal he conceded during the reverse fixture of the 2022 World Cup playoff at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The error ensured Ghana secure Qatar 2022 ticket on away goal rule as the two-legged playoff produced one goal apiece.
Uzoho who’d made decent stops during the first leg tie at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi, saw a low drive by Thomas Partey beat him in Abuja in the 10th minute of the game to the chagrin of Nigerian fans.
William Troost-Ekong scored from the spot in the 22nd minute for an equaliser as the Super Eagles struggled in vain for a winner.

The error by Uzoho has seen him receive sticks but the goalkeeper who has stayed mum since the poor showing almost a week ago has finally come out to apologise.
In a post on Instagram, 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) bronze medallist, Uzoho, said; “This past couple of days have (sic) been the worst in my lifetime. I wanted to take my nation to Qatar but rather did the opposite.
“I know what football means to you all and to myself, I can’t promise not to make mistakes again but i can promise not to give up until i bring back that smile on your faces.
“Thank you for the support and God bless Nigeria. IN CHRIST ALONE.”
The Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper was in goal at the 2018 World Cup in Russia as Nigeria crashed out in the group stages and has had a stop-start Super Eagles career ever since.
