BBC Sport has added Olivier Giroud, Cesar Azpilicueta and Benni McCarthy to its punditry team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The broadcaster confirmed that all 104 matches of the tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico will be covered across its television, radio and digital platforms.
A total of 54 matches will be shown live on BBC television, while viewers will also be able to follow every fixture through iPlayer, Radio 5 Live, BBC Sounds, the BBC Sport website and app, YouTube and social media platforms.
The BBC said its newly launched football channels on YouTube and TikTok will provide live pre-match coverage and stream the opening 10 minutes of selected matches during the tournament.

Coverage from the studio in Salford will be led by Kelly Cates, Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan and Alex Scott, alongside a group of former players and coaches including Alan Shearer, Wayne Rooney, Micah Richards, Ellen White, Steph Houghton, Rachel Corsie, Joe Hart, Lucas Leiva and Thomas Frank.

The 2026 World Cup begins on June 11, with the final scheduled for July 19.
