Goalkeeper Victor Valdes suffers horror injury during Premier League clash

Former Barcelona star left with deep gash in his thigh after collision during intense Etihad battle

VICTOR VALDES suffered a horror injury against Manchester City today.

The Middlesbrough stopper was caught by Jesus Navas during the first half at the Etihad.

And Valdes was clearly in pain as images showed a deep gash to his thigh.

Needless to say, the brave goalie carried on but it didn’t do his side much good.

Sergio Aguero pounced shortly before half-time to put City ahead.

Pep Guardiola’s men dominated possession and Boro have a real task on their hands trying to find a way back into the game.
