Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago who doubles as the President of the Minna Polo Club, has assured the club of the continuous support of his administration.
The Governor gave the assurance when he received the management team of the Minna Polo Club led by its 1st Vice President, Mohammed Babangida at the Government House, Minna.

He explained that polo is a unique sport which his administration is poised to ensure its growth and development.
Bago revealed plans to give a facelift to the existing Polo Club and build a new one of world-class standard.
He congratulated the club for coming victorious in some of the Competitions it participated.
Earlier, Babangida explained that their visit was to extend their condolences to the governor as the President of Minna Polo Club, over the demise of the 2nd Vice President of Minna Polo Club and former SSG, Daniel Clifford Shashere, and an icon in polo, of international repute, Alhaji Dawule Baba.
Babangida also appraised the Governor for his unwavering support to the Minna Polo Club which has helped them to participate in various polo tournaments across the country and have been victorious in some of them.
He used the forum to inform the governor of the upcoming polo tournament in Minna in July 2025 and the Annual General Meeting of the Club that will subsequently follow.
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the souls of the departed.
A trophy won by the Minna Polo Club at a polo tournament in Port Harcourt, Rivers State was presented to the governor.
