Manchester United have revealed Cristiano Ronaldo will not play any part in their Premier League clash with Liverpool tonight after the death of his newborn baby boy, according to Dailymail.
Ralf Rangnick’s side face their rivals at Anfield on Tuesday evening, but United have confirmed the Portugal international is not available following his heartbreaking news.
In a statement, the club wrote: ‘Family is more important than everything and Ronaldo is supporting his loved ones at this immensely difficult time.
“As such, we can confirm that he will not feature in the match against Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday evening and we underline the family’s request for privacy.

“Cristiano, we are all thinking of you and sending strength to the family.”
There was no sign of Ronaldo at Carrington this morning has his team-mates arrived at the training base to prepare for this evening’s game.
The Manchester United star, 37, announced in October 2021 that he was expecting twins with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28.
A statement from the couple confirmed the death of their baby boy as ‘the greatest pain’, but said their baby girl survived.
“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” the announcement read.

“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.
“We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.

Swathes of messages of condolence have been placed on social media platforms, with United leading the way.
