After being released by Juventus, Dani Alves looked set to reunite with former boss Guardiola, with whom he spent time at Barcelona.
However, Dani Alves has turned his back on Manchester City, even though terms had been agreed on before signing a two year deal at the Etihad.
The Brazilian right-back has instead opted for a £230,000 a week contract at PSG, which is set to be confirmed on Wednesday afternoon, when the Parisian club have scheduled a press conference.
Manchester City had already involved Alves in their plans for the tour of the US and he was expected to join the squad after his holidays, which has left Guardiola fuming after his former player’s snub.
The Citizens will now focus their attentions on full-backs Benjamin Mendy and Kyle Walker.
