Young goalkeeper Emmanuel Iwu has been spotted in the camp of Akwa United, ahead of the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.
The camp of Promise Keepers has been filled with players from different clubs in recent days.
NPFL understands Heartland FC are resigned to losing the goalkeeper and are now concentrating on negotiating the best deal possible for themselves before looking for a replacement.
Iwu has been training with the club since Tuesday but a deal hasn’t been struck yet.
“I am fine. A deal hasn’t been finalised for now but I am hoping for the best in my career,” Iwu told NPFL.
NPFL sources within the camp of the team also saw Ibrahim Muazum Alhassan training with the Uyo-based side.
