Heartland’s Efugh hoping to take advantage of rivals

Heartland’s Chinedu Efugh believes that relegation-threatened Naze Millionaires still have a lifeline to stay in the NPFL.

The Naze Millionaires had a boost to their survival hopes after a 2-0 win at the Dan Anyim Stadium on Wednesday and Efugh believes that a double win in the last two matches may make Heartland FC benefit from any slip.

“We are where are and we know that we still have an option to stay in the NPFL, a win in our last two matches against Kano Pillars and Plateau United can make us benefit from any slip from any team above us,” Chinedu told Goal.

“It’s good that we have achieved the first target to defeat Niger Tornadoes, now we have secure another win against Kano Pillars and not concede while we just have to put in everything we have got against Plateau United on the last day.”

Heartland are 18th on the NPFL log with 40 points, two points adrift of safety.
