One of the top members of Ibadan Golf Club (IGC), Ola Ibironke, popularly called Dudu Heritage, has described golf as a game of love and friendship which connects one to excellent minds.
Ibironke, who is aspiring for the second vice captain position of the club said he was forced to join golf association by his friend and former IGC Captain, Prince Bayo Adeleke, and he has never had any regrets.
He added that if his aspiration comes true in the forthcoming election, Ibadan Golf Club will be taken to a new height and in continuation of the excellent work of the past captains saying there will be mass transformation.
“Golf is life, it means everything to me. Years back when I was not a member, I used to visit club houses, visit friends, unnecessary travels, but now, if I am not at work, I am here at IGC playing golf,” he said.
“Golf is a game played with 14 different instruments and clubs. It requires mental ability, visuals, concentration and a host of skills, which also show one’s personality.
In a bid to encourage those who want to be fitter and be golfers, he urged them to join any club around them but enjoined them to come to Ibadan Golf Club (IGC), because, “We are very accommodating,” he submitted.
“For those who are yet to join, they don’t know what they are missing, I didn’t know too until I joined. I enjoin everybody who wants to keep fit to join any club around them.”
