Super Falcons forward, Francisca Ordega, has hinted at a possible quit from professional football before another round of FIFA Women’s World Cup, in her bid to build a family and start having babies.
The 29-year-old CSKA Moscow player in Russia disclosed this in an interview with EaglesTracker, where she talked about the Super Falcons’ experience at the just concluded 2023 Women’s World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand.
Recall that Super Falcons of Nigeria were eliminated from the tournament on penalty to Three Lioness of England at the knockout stage after an impressive unbeaten run in the group stage.
But responding to questions, Ordega had earlier talked about the possibility of continuing playing for the national team whenever she’s called upon, adding that she’s of the same age group with Desire Oparanozie, Asisat Oshoala among others.
Francisca, who appreciated fans for the positive energy they got despite their defeat to England at the knockout stage, stated that her attention is on helping her clubside to win trophies as she’s poised on scoring goals and providing many assists.
Reacting to the interviewer who quipped on the possibility of seeing her in another four years, Francisca stated that she might have babies by then as she does not want to play football forever.
