I will play until I am 35 ―lewandowski

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski feels he can still play at the top level until the age of 35 and is now in his prime.

The Poland international hit-man will be 30 on August 21 and has already achieved a great deal in the game with Borussia Dortmund and the Bavarians.

He hit 103 goals for BVB and has bagged 151 from 195 appearances in all competitions while at the German champions, and shows no signs of slowing down.

Strikers do tend to lose some productivity when they hit 30 as their pace declines but Lewandowski does not see it that way and feels his peak years are still ahead of him.

“I have a plan to play at the top level at least until I’m 35,” he told The Guardian. “I feel I’m just starting the best period for a striker. I’m mature and have a lot of experience.

“If I’m healthy, I will play in Europe as long as possible – and then move on. We will see.”
