KELECHI Iheanacho and Leroy Sane remain part of Pep Guardiola’s plans for Manchester City as the Spanosh handler aims at overhauling his underperforming squad.
According to The Express, an English tabloid, Guardiola has penned down a list of 10 names who are likely to be released in the coming transfer windows among whom are former African Player of the Year, Yaya Toure.
The biggest surprise among the players listed for the exit door from the Etihad Stadium is the hardworking Brazillian midfielder, Fernandinho.
Last weekend, City lost 2-4 to defending champions, Leicester City and quite a number of people believed Man City were that leaky due to the suspension of Fernandinho who was involved in an ugly bust-up with Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas in an ill-tempered game at the Etihad.
Along with the two midfielders, Willy Caballero, Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas, Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta are all reportedly set to be given their marching orders.
On-loan quartet Wilfried Bony (Stoke City), Joe Hart (Torino), Eliaquim Mangala (Valencia) and Samir Nasri (Sevilla) have also had doubt over their Manchester City futures.
Both Iheanacho and Sane are two of the youngest in City’s first team but some feel with the impending arrival of Gabriel Jesus, Iheanacho’s chances will be dimmed in due course.
