Iheanacho nominated for Leicester City Goal Of The Month Award

Super Eagles of Nigeria star, Kelechi Iheanacho is struggling for playing time with Leicester City this season, but his efforts in Carabao Cup goal is about to be rewarded as his goal against Burton Albion has been nominated for Club’s goal of the Month for October.

Iheanacho is behind Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez in the pecking order at Leicester City, but he has delivered whenever he has been called upon in the Carabao Cup.

Iheanacho was among the goal scorers for the Club in their 3-1 round of 16 Carabao Cup win over League One side Burton Albion at the Pirell Stadium.

He opened the scoring for the Foxes in the seventh minute after he combined well up by Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans.

The goal is in contention for goal of the month award includes; James Maddison, Ayoze Perez, Khanya Leshabela, Jamie Vardy, Tielemans and another Nigerian youngster Josh Appiah.

The foxes fans are expected to vote for the favourite goal as voting ends on Sunday, November 10, according to the club’s official website.
