Nigerian forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, scored as Celtic defeated Dunfermline Athletic 3-1 to win the Scottish Cup and complete a domestic double under interim manager Martin O’Neill.
Celtic, who sealed the Scottish Premiership title last weekend, claimed a record 63rd Scottish Cup title with a dominant display at the Stade de France in Paris.
Daizen Maeda opened the scoring in the 25th minute after racing onto a long ball and lifting his effort over goalkeeper Aston Oxborough.
Arne Engels doubled Celtic’s lead three minutes before half-time with a powerful strike from outside the box to put the Premiership champions in control.
Dunfermline pulled one back in first-half stoppage time through 17-year-old midfielder Djibril Coulibaly, who scored with a flicked header on his first domestic start.
Neil Lennon’s side improved after the break and created several chances, with substitute Alfons Amade going close from distance.
Iheanacho thought he had added Celtic’s third goal midway into the second half, but the effort was ruled out for offside against Hyun-jun Yang in the build-up.
The former Nigeria international eventually got on the scoresheet in the 78th minute after weaving through the Dunfermline defence before finishing calmly to seal the victory.
Josh Cooper later scored a consolation goal for Dunfermline with his first touch of the game.
The win extended Celtic’s dominance in Scottish football, with the club now winning 23 of the last 30 domestic trophies available.

O’Neill, who took charge on an interim basis, also guided Celtic to their seventh Scottish Cup triumph in the last 10 editions of the competition.
The 74-year-old’s future remains uncertain, but the latest success is expected to increase calls for him to remain in charge beyond the summer.
