I’m still with Bayern ―Lewandowki

Robert Lewandowski has suggested he will look to extend his current Bayern Munich deal beyond 2021.

The Pole joined the Bavarians from bitter rivals Borussia Dortmund in 2014 and has helped them win four straight Bundesliga titles.

Lewandowski, who has also won the league’s Golden Boot twice since joining Bayern, was regularly linked with a move away last summer before holding talks with new boss Niko Kovac.

A host of other European sides were believed to be interested and the player’s wife previously suggested he eventually saw himself moving to the MLS.

The 30-year-old’s current deal still has more than two years left to run and the striker has suggested he would be open to extending his stay.

“There’s a very good chance I’ll be here for a long time yet,” Lewandowski told Sport Bild. “I’m not thinking about going anywhere else. Since putting the rumours to rest, my heart has been 100 per cent with Bayern.

“I fully identify with the club. I could definitely see myself ending my career at Bayern.”
