Iwobi disaapointed by Arsenal’s 2017 finish

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi is disappointed to have dropped points at the Hawthorns against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday after the Baggies took the wind out of Arsenal’s sails with a late drama during their final Premier League game in 2017.

A last-gasp penalty from Jay Rodriguez cancelled out a James McClean own-goal as Iwobi and his troops rounded off 2017 with a frustrating draw against West Bromwich Albion.

Iwobi in a tweet after the game in which he was replaced by Danny Welbeck after 74 minutes said: “Disappointing To Only Get A Point Out Of Today. Thank You For Your Support This Year. Enjoy Your New Year Celebrations!”

Iwobi welcomes Premier League champion and compatriot Victor Moses (Chelsea) to Emirates Stadium tomorrow for a blockbuster clash.

The last both Nigerians clashed in September at Stamford Bridge, Iwobi’s Arsenal were the better team for long periods but had to settle for a share of the points.
