Jesus urges Man City not to panic after Champions League exit

Gabriel Jesus has urged his Manchester City team-mates to keep their “heads up2 after their crushing Champions League exit to Liverpool.

City have lost three successive games in the last seven days, including Saturday’s Manchester derby and both legs of their Champions League quarter-final with Liverpool.

City need a further six points from their last six games to guarantee a third Premier League title.

Victory against Tottenham on Saturday would hand City the title if Manchester United lose against West Brom the following day.

Jesus admitted City “didn’t play great” in both games against Liverpool but the Brazilian is confident of future success.

“It’s heads up. There are six games to go and we must focus on that, finish the season with the Premier League trophy,” Jesus said.

“It’s nearly done but now we need to wrap it up.”
