Joshua Kimmich maintains 100 per cent record with late goal

German champions’ incredible run continues with 88th-minute winner despite Rene Adler heroics in HSV goal.

JOSHUA KIMMICH maintained Bayern Munich’s 100 per cent record with a dramatic 88th-minute winner at the Volksparkstadion.

The Bavarian giants scored 14 goals in their first four Bundesliga matches — as well as five in both their German Cup and Champions League openers.

And, despite starting with a stellar front three of Thomas Muller, Robert Lewandowski and Kingsley Coman, struggled to find a way past an inspired Rene Adler in the Hamburg goal.

The visitors battered their hosts and had to wait until two minutes from time to finally find a way through — and win for the eighth match in succession.

It wasn’t all good news for Ancelotti as Mats Hummels was forced to come off with a knee injury in the second half.

Bayern have won the title for past four seasons — and are red-hot favourites to retain their Bundesliga title this season.

Borussia Dortmund laid down a marker with an impressive 3-1 victory over Freiburg last night.

But Ancelotti’s men hit back to retain their three-point lead over their main title rivals.

Meanwhile, Javier Hernandez netted a sensational hat-trick to kick-start Bayer Leverkusen’s season.

The former Manchester United striker’s twice levelled away at Mainz before hitting a 92nd-minute winner, to seal a 3-2 victory.
