JoshuaVsNgannou: ‘Ur ticket don cut’, Davido mocks Drake after losing $615,000 bet

Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has teased the Canadian Rapper Drake after losing $615,000 to betting.

Drake had placed $615,000 on a heavyweight fight between the former two-time world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua and Cameroonian-French mixed martial artist and professional boxer, Francis Ngannou. 

Tribune Online reports that Joshua won over Ngannou in a brutal knockout in the second round of the anticipated heavyweight boxing fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Friday. 

Davido, while reacting to a betting slip posted by Drake on his official Instagram prior to the match, where he put $615,000 on Ngannou to defeat Joshua, mocked the Canadian rapper for losing big on the Cameroonian boxer.

“Ur ticket don cut”, Davido writes. 

Recall that the Popular Canadian rapper in March 2023 put money on the Nigerian Israel Adesanya to defeat  Alex Pereira at UFC 287 to reclaim the middleweight title, and won $2.7million after the fight.
