‘Juve move would be good for Rodriguez’

James Rodriguez’s father, Wilson, has told his son to consider a summer switch to Italian champions Juventus.

Colombia international Rodriguez is coming towards the end of his two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich and it doesn’t look like the German giants will be taking up the option to make the move permanent for 47million euros.

The 27-year-old would, therefore, head back to parent club Real Madrid although it is expected he will be sold in the summer after failing to become a hit at the Santiago Bernabeu since his move from Monaco in 2014.

A number of top European clubs are said to be showing an interest in the forward’s signature, with Premier League outfit Chelsea believed to be keeping tabs on him.

However, Rodriguez’s father has urged his son to look at the possibility of a move to Turin.

“He’s received many offers,” he told Sport Bild in Germany.

“Juventus? He’s very close to Cristiano Ronaldo.

“For how I see Italian football, going to Juventus would be a good decision.”
