Kalu has agreed Watford deal -Agent

English Premier League side Watford are on the verge of announcing the signing of Bordeaux winger, Samuel Kalu, on a multi-year contract, the player’s agent William D’avila has confirmed.

Kalu has agreed personal terms with the Hornets, paving the way for him to travel to the United Kingdom to undergo a traditional medical ahead of a potential unveiling.

According to Watford Observer, both clubs have agreed on a £2.5million transfer fee.

The Nigeria international who is a product of the Golden Boot Soccer Academy is departing the French Ligue 1 side after a goal involvement of 10 goals and eight assists in 86 appearances across all competitions.

Kalu had been on the radar of Watford in the January transfer window but the club’s sporting director Cristiano Giaretta played down a move for the 24-year-old just last week.

Asked to confirm reports of Kalu’s imminent move to Watford, William D’avila told allnigeriasoccer.com on Wednesday morning: “The reports are correct. He has agreed a four-and-a-half-year deal.”

Former AS Trencin and KAA Gent star Kalu shares the same agent as Watford midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo.

Meanwhile, Leeds United are waiting to submit an offer for Torino full-back Ola Aina, according to Calciomercato.
Aina is currently with the Super Eagles at the ongoing 33rd Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon.

Also, Leicester City are considering a permanent deal for Ademola Lookman before his loan deal expires at the end of the season, reports Leicester Mercury.

The 24-year-old arrived from RB Leipzig in August on a season-long loan and he has boosted Leicester City’s attack with his performances.

Lookman has contributed five goals and an assist in 19 appearances for the Foxes so far.
