Karim Benzema starts visit to Red Sea
French footballer and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been invited by the President of the Red Sea Tourism Investment Association, Kamel Abu Ali, to spend his annual leave at the cities of Hurghada and Marsa Alam for several days.
In a statement to Al-Masry Al-Youm, Tourism expert and member of the Steering Committee of the Chamber of Tourism in the Red Sea Ehab Shoukri said that Benzema is expected to arrive at Hurghada airport on Monday.
He added that preparations and careful arrangements have been laid out for the visit. In this time, Benzema will visit a number of tourist areas and villages, and go on a voyage across the Red Sea.
Shoukri said that Benzema will directly participate in supporting tourism in the Red Sea, such as in the opening of a new tourist resort in Marsa Alam.
Benzema will be taking several photos of resorts, landmarks and tourism sites in Hurghada and Marsa Alam as well as during his cruises, diving and snorkeling, Shoukri said. By posting these photos on all his social media accounts, Shoukri explained, Benzema will be providing a great way to revitalize tourism for the region.
