ARSENAL youngster Kelechi Nwakali is edging close to his MVV Maastricht debut.
Nwakali signed for the Dutch club on transfer deadline day.
He completed a season-long loan switch to Holland with just hours of the window left open.
But he hasn’t featured for the club yet because his visa was still being sorted.
Nwakali was forced to stay in London and train with Arsenal while the paperwork was finalised.
And the player was finally able to travel to Maastricht on Saturday after being given the all-clear.
Arsenal academy boss Andries Jonker tipped the wink to the Dutch club about the Nigerian star.
The Gunners signed Nwakali this summer, but wanted him to get out on loan.
And former Maastricht manager Jonker was the perfect man to help broker a deal, All Nigeria Soccer report.
Nwakali could make his debut for his new side on Friday against Ajax’s youth team in a Dutch second division match.
