LUIS SUAREZ has a higher combined total of goals and assists in his first 100 games for Barcelona than Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid.
The former Liverpool star came off the bench in the shock 2-1 defeat to Alaves but was unable to find the back of the net.
After leaving Anfield for the Nou Camp in a £75m deal back in 2014, Suarez has gone on to make a huge impact in Spain.
The Uruguay international has scored a massive 88 goals and provided 43 assists to his team-mates, a combined total of 131.
In his first 100 matches for Real, Ronaldo netted 95 times with 29 assists, adding up to 124, seven short of Suarez’ new record.
And former Barcelona ace and Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes the former Liverpool man is the best striker in the world.
“He is, by a distance, the best number nine in the world,” he told Sky Sports.
“Why? Eighty-eight goals and 43 assists in 100 games. The man has been involved in 131 goals. Where have you seen that from a striker?”
Suarez turns 30 in January but Barcelona will be hoping he can be just as successful in his next 100 appearances for the club.
