Kenneth Omeruo named Sports Personality of the Year in Turkey

The Super Eagles defender who is on loan from Chelsea has been awarded at the African Entertainment Awards in Turkey

Alanyaspor defender Kenneth Omeruo has been recognised and named as the Sports Personality for the year 2016 by African Entertainment Awards for his top class defensive play in the Turkish top flight league.

Omeruo who has established himself as a key player in Hüseyin Kalpar’s team since joining them on loan in the summer, was also influential in Kasimpasa’s 7th place finish in the 2015/2016 season.

The delighted 23-year old defender shared the picture of his award on his Instagram page.

“Privileged to have received the sports personality award yesterday in the African Entertainment Awards Turkey,” Omeruo captioned.
