KELECHI Iheanacho has warned his Man City mates that things would not be as rosy when they take on Manchester United tonight at the Old Trafford at the League Cup round of 16.
Last month, Iheanacho was the hero setting up teammate, Kevin De Bruyne and hitting the target himself in a 2-1 win over United in an EPLduel at Old Trafford.
Now, the Nigerian international senses that United would be smarting from the defeat from their acclaimed ‘noisy neighbours’.
“Last time we played United we put in a great performance from the whole team and won it, so we are looking forward to it again,’’ Iheanacho told Manchester Evening News.
“This one will be harder, as they are getting to know us and our players. They will fight hard so we have to get our heads straight, fight back and get the win at Old Trafford, ” he added.
United youngster Marcus Rashford could have a chance to live out a childhood dream.
‘If I am to name my dream goal it would be a home goal against City, definitely!, Rashford told Inside United magazine
Rashford made a goal-scoring cameo in the win over Northampton Town in the previous round of the EFL Cup and now hopes to start as United look to oust their neighbours and progress to the fifth round.
