‘Madrid strike Lewandowski agreement’

Real Madrid have reached a ‘principle agreement’ with Robert Lewandowski for a transfer this summer, according to reports in Spain.

El Mundo Deportivo state the Polish international’s agent Pini Zahavi has agreed a move with Madrid representatives, with only Bayern Munich’s sanctioning of the deal required.

The report continues that a two-year deal has been struck regarding payments with an option of a third included.

Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly been restrained over any such deal as he wished to see how their prospective move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar unfolded.

Lewandowski, 29, reportedly switched agent to Zahavi recently in order to drive a move to the Bernabeu through.
