Man City won’t win Premier League, Guardiola concedes after Manchester Derby defeat

Pep Guardiola has conceded that his Man City side won’t win the 2022/23 Premier League season following their 2-1 defeat to local rivals Man United in the Manchester Derby on Saturday.

The loss leaves the Cityzens five points behind leaders Arsenal, with an outstanding game.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, Guardiola stated that he doesn’t care about the Premier League and Carabao Cup, as his side have won them a lot.

”I don’t care about the Premier League and the Carabao Cup, we cannot win,” Guardiola said, speaking with a lot of sarcasm throughout.

“We won a lot, so it’s not a problem. We haven’t been performing as we can, but today we did perform.

“In general I have no regrets. I don’t care if we don’t win the Carabao Cup or the Premier League, we’ll try.

“I don’t care when a team performs how we play. It was quite similar to the many, many years we’ve been here.

“There are plenty of points to play for and we have to play there. In every game we have to perform.

“We always play in these sort of games and in others we struggle a little bit.
