Man United shift focus to Everton midfielder following Mount deadlock

Transfer expert David Ornstein has disclosed that Manchester United have identified Everton midfielder Amadou Onana as a potential addition to bolster their midfield.

According to reports from The Athletic, Ornstein revealed on the Vibe with FIVE’s YouTube channel that Onana is among the targets for the Red Devils. The Belgian midfielder is considered one of several options being considered by Ten Hag for this summer’s transfer window.

“They [Manchester United] are looking at the other positions and you’ll have seen reports about Onana and Everton, I’m led to believe he’s on the list, and like many, he’s one of many options they’re considering,” he said.

Amidst Everton’s dramatic survival in the Premier League on the final day of the season, Amadou Onana’s future remains uncertain. The 21-year-old midfielder joined Everton from Lille last summer in a £33 million deal.

Onana showcased his talent in a challenging season for Everton, where they faced the threat of relegation. He made 35 appearances across various competitions and contributed with three goals or assists.

Recent reports suggest that Onana is eager to leave Sean Dyche’s side as he aspires to play at the highest level, aiming to solidify his place in the Belgium national team. However, at present, Onana is just one of several midfield targets being considered by Manchester United, who are primarily focusing on pursuing the signing of Mason Mount.
