Chelsea shot-stopper Edouard Mendy is on the verge of inking a deal with Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ahli.
Negotiations are still in progress, but it is widely anticipated that Mendy will be among the star players making their move to the country.
The 31-year-old Senegalese international joined Chelsea in 2020 after his stint with Rennes, providing stiff competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

After becoming the first-choice goalkeeper, Mendy played a pivotal role in Chelsea’s triumph in the 2020-21 Champions League, earning him the title of UEFA’s goalkeeper of the season and Best FIFA Men’s Keeper for 2021.
Should the transfer to Al Ahli materialize, Mendy would join the ever-growing list of top-tier players enticed to join Saudi Arabian clubs.
Mendy’s Chelsea teammate N’Golo Kante recently agreed to join league champions Al-Ittihad, where he will be accompanied by Ballon d’Or recipient Karim Benzema.
Additionally, there are reports suggesting that Chelsea’s center-back Kalidou Koulibaly and winger Hakim Ziyech have attracted interest from teams in the Saudi Pro League.
